Description:
Part 2 of 6 of the children's drama. The children are minus a housekeeper when Ellie's twin wish frightens Mrs Dobbs away. They are not on their own for long, however, as their Aunt Marchmont arrives home - and she's not impressed upon seeing them. After taking the medication, Wheeler is shocked to find out that he has been poisoned by the doctor and he will die in 48 hours unless he receives the antidote from Dr. Matson. Matson takes the bag containing the bank loot and also asks Laura to join him in escaping the gang. The doctor tells Wheeler that he will give him instructions via a phone call to help Wheeler find the antidote once the doctor will safely be far away with the bank loot and the girl.Wheeler has no choice and allows Dr. Matson and Laura to leave the apartment with the bank loot. And as it turns out it proves very opportune when Pip overhears a devious plot against the household...<br/><br/>Starring Anna Massey, Toby Afundell-Phillips, Laura Clarke, Vicci Avery, Leonard Kirby, Frank Taylor, Polly Kemp, Simon Slater, Joanna Barrett, Callum MacPherson and Carol MacReady. This is from my own collection and one I had trouble finding at home until recently. Ironically I didn't have the follow up to this, The Phoenix and the Carpet, but yesterday I came across it in a charity shop by chance. So next month - as long as the site permits it - I shall attempt to upload that here to complete this series. Until then, enjoy this 2nd series, which I think is even better than the original.")
