2024 Lexus LX<br/>Starting at $93.915<br/><br/>Highs: Powerful and polished powertrain, comfy, luxe cabin, genuine off-road ability.<br/>Lows: Subpar third-row room, missing some high-end features, miserly luggage space behind the third row.<br/>Verdict: As big and ritzy as a Lexus SUV gets, but most rivals go further.<br/><br/>Overview<br/><br/>The Lexus LX, long known as a plusher version of the iconic Toyota Land Cruiser off-road SUV, no longer has a close relative at the Toyota store. That’s because the all-new 2024 Land Cruiser is now the smaller of the siblings rather than a near-twin. The LX, on the other hand, is unchanged and remains a full-size luxury SUV with proven off-road toughness. It’s powered by a smooth and powerful 409-hp twin-turbo V-6 working through a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Rivals such as the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator are more flamboyant while the LX600, as it’s officially known, delivers a more subdued sense of luxury. The LX600 benefits from a reputation for both longevity and for being one luxury SUV that's as at home on a trail as on a boulevard. But while it delivers a supple ride and coddles its passengers in comfy seats, it lacks some of the extravagances of its similarly pricey competitors.<br/><br/>What's New for 2024?<br/><br/>The LX was completely redesigned for 2022 and has been little changed since. The 2024 model year sees but one update: the Ultra Luxury version's rear-seat entertainment system now comes with wireless Bluetooth headphones.<br/><br/>Pricing and Which One to Buy<br/>The price of the 2024 Lexus LX starts at $93.915 and goes up to $134.490 depending on the trim and options.<br/>LX600: $93,915<br/>LX600 Premium: $101,865<br/>LX600 F Sport: $108,125<br/>LX600 Luxury: $109,865<br/>LX600 Ultra Luxury: $134,490<br/><br/>We think that the Luxury trim represents the best value here—value being a relative term when you’re talking six-figure SUVs—as it adds niceties such as semi-aniline leather upholstery, a Mark Levinson stereo system, and handsome 22-inch wheels among other features. Buyers who reflexively gravitate to the top of the lineup should know that the Ultra Luxury trim limits the cabin to just four seats.<br/><br/>Engine, Transmission, and Performance<br/>The LX600 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6 engine that makes 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive are both standard. Given Lexus's penchant for hybrid powertrains, we wouldn't be surprised to eventually see a gas-electric setup under the LX's hood, similar to the V-6 hybrid used in the 2022 Tundra pickup, but so far the company has made no move to offer it. On the road, the twin-turbo V-6 provides ample power and the refined presence that’s expected in a luxury vehicle. In our testing, the LX600 hustled to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, which will be more than enough for most drivers.

If that's not enough space, the trunk has a capacity of 2.3 cubic feet (64 liters).<br/><br/>The Q6 e-tron rides on Premium Platform Electric (PPE) and features twelve modules, 180 prismatic cells and a newly developed lithium-ion battery with a gross capacity of 100 kWh. This gives the model a range of up to 388 miles (625 km), although the EPA figure is said to be more than 300 miles (483 km).<br/><br/>In the United States, the Q6 e-tron will produce 422 hp (315 kW / 428 PS) and 456 hp (340 kW / 462 PS) with launch control. When the second system is activated, the crossover will be able to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in about five seconds. If the driver keeps his feet upright, the model will eventually reach a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).<br/><br/>The international version is slightly less impressive at 382 hp (285 kW / 387 PS). This results in a slower 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 5.9 seconds, but top speed remains unchanged.<br/><br/>Finally, the SQ6 e-tron has 483 hp (360 kW / 489 PS), but with launch control this value reaches 510 hp (380 kW / 517 PS). Thanks to its extra power, reaching 96 km/h takes approximately 4.2 seconds, while the top speed increases to 230 km/h.<br/><br/>When the battery is low, drivers will appreciate the 270 kW DC fast charging feature. It allows the model to reach a range of 158 miles (255 km) with a ten-minute charge. If you're not in a hurry, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes.<br/><br/>The Q6 e-tron will be available in the third quarter and prices in Germany start from €74,700. The new Lingxi L EV, which is planned to go on sale towards the end of this year, has 215 horsepower, LFP batteries and is similar in size to the Honda Civic.<br/><br/>The first product of Honda's newly created Lingxi electric brand for China, after being previewed in concept form late last year, was revealed in its final form thanks to the statements made with the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). With its sharp, angular lines, this EV aims to impress young buyers.<br/><br/>Produced as part of Honda's joint venture with Dongfeng, the Lingxi L looks very similar to the concept car it previewed, albeit with a significant lightening in design. Expressive design lines and intricate lighting elements contribute to making this otherwise ordinary compact sedan a little more fascinating; just like Hyundai does with some of its new models.<br/><br/>With a wheelbase of 2,731 mm (107.5 in), the Lingxi L has almost the same dimensions as the Honda Civic, with only 4 mm (0.1 in) difference in wheelbase length. Unlike the Civic, the L model features a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, which contributes to a curb weight of up to 1,702 kg (3,752 lbs).<br/><br/>While details about battery pack size and range have not been disclosed, it has been confirmed that the vehicle will be equipped with a single electric motor capable of delivering up to 215 hp (160 kW/218 PS) to the wheels.<br/><br/>Additionally, documents submitted to MIIT show that the model will be equipped with radar. This suggests that the L will feature some advanced technologies, including advanced driver assistance features.<br/><br/>When the first Sino-foreign joint venture introduced the Lingxi brand, Honda and Dongfeng said that the vehicles they produced would target a different audience than the e:NS EV series and therefore have different prices.
